TRI-COUNTY  CHAMPIONSHIPS

WHERE: Pelham HS COST: $50 per team Dues paid to Tri-county

ELIGIBILITY: Tournament is open to all wrestlers grades 5-8.  Wrestlers with any high school experience are excluded.  All participants should be insured prior to an including this event.  Your team must be a tri-county member to participate.

DIVISIONS: Division 1 and 2 as per the Tri-County Handbook

WEIGHT To be determined at registration weigh-ins.  All wrestlers will be weighed in at the

CLASSES: host site. Weight classes will be grouped using the madison system.

REGISTRATION:

PLEASE E-MAIL CONFIRMATION AND ROUGH NUMBERS TO SCOTT OWEN  SOWEN@SAU8.ORG TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM.  ONLINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!!!!  WE WILL BE USING FLO WRESTLING. REGISTER EARLY!!!

WEIGH-INS: We will be running weigh-ins for all wrestlers from 7:30-8:15 AM.  Please have your team there for 7:30 AM. You will weigh-in as a team.

TIME: Coaches meeting starts at 9:00 AM, wrestling begins at 9:30 AM.

AWARDS: Top three (3) wrestlers in each weight class shall receive awards.

Team trophies will go to 1st and 2nd place in both divisions.

FIRST AID: EMT – Coaches will be responsible for all blood clean up.

OFFICIALS: Apprentice officials shall conform to National Federation Rules for High School Wrestling.

MATCH TIME: Consists of three (3) 1-minute periods. Overtime=1 minute-1st takedown wins.  If still tied coin flip and wrestler chooses top or bottom.(Ride or Escape wins)

CONCESSION: All day long, Tournament T-shirts will also be available.

ADMISSION: Adults – $3, Students – $2, Family – $8
